Venue: The event will be held in central Blackpool, a short walk from Blackpool North train station. Exact venue details will be shared upon enquiry/entry.

Format: Lincoln style (tables of 3), six 9-rounder games. 9-rounder grand final 

In each of the 3 rounds, you will play 2 games and host 1 other. The draw for round 1 is random, then in the next two rounds you will be matched with others who have scored similarly to you. Don’t worry if round 1 doesn’t go too well, everyone should get some well-matched games by the afternoon!

Rough timetable for the day:

Doors open: 11:15

Welcome/Round 1 Draw: 11:45

Round 1: 12:00

Lunch: 13:15

Round 3: 14:00

Round 4: 15:15

Final: 16:45

Prizegiving: 17:15 

Post-event group meal plans: Likely Ask Italian as that worked very well last time, but will confirm closer to the time. There should give time for people to freshen up between the event and the meal. Even likelier than the Ask Italian is the afterparty at Gaiety’s for some late night karaoke! For those sober enough, we check out the amusements on Sunday morning.

Stick around for some donkey derby on the pier on Sunday morning!

Entry fee for the day will be £15 per person, payable to Bradley Horrocks using Paypal (see link above). Please remember to select the ‘Friends and Family’ option. If you don’t have PayPal, please contact us at  hello@focalcountdown.com to arrange alternate payment options.

Public transport

Blackpool North train station is a short walk from the venue, and has regular services to Preston, Liverpool, and Manchester.
